RGBW LED Mini In-Ground Well Lights - Warm White & 16 Colors, Recessed Stainless Steel Acrylic Design for Stairs

I’ve gone through my fair share of bulky landscape spotlights, so these "mini" well lights were a breath of fresh air for my walkway project. If you’re looking for a clean, recessed look without digging a trench the size of a moat, these are a solid pick!!! They are truly recessed. Because they sit flush with the ground or deck, you don't have to worry about the lawnmower catching them or someone tripping over a stake in the dark. A lot of RGB lights struggle with "real" light, but these have a dedicated warm white mode. It’s actually a soft, inviting glow for everyday use, while the 16 colors are great for holidays or just being "that house" on the block. They carry an IP67 rating, which is the "sweet spot" for outdoor gear. They’ve survived a few heavy downpours so far without any moisture fogging up the acrylic lens. Keep in mind these are 12V low voltage. You’ll need a transformer to run them, but the benefit is that the wiring is much safer and easier to DIY than high-voltage line stuff.

This is a beautifully crafted light. If you want an elegant look when its off, this is your light. Since these are typically used to light plants from below, this might be nice if you want one for a raised planter by the front door, the light won't look ugly during the day.

Let's make sure its clear what this is. This is intended for people who already have 12 volt running through their yard, which usually means a landscape transformer screwed into the side of the house or in the garage. This light does not come with an AC adapter and can't be lit without a source of 12 volt.

The combination of 12 volt and remote control for color and brightness is rare. It has a bunch of colors available on the remote, all of which are really nice looking. The white is slightly warm side of neutral, probably around 3800K. It's quite nice. There is a memory function (of course) where it remembers the last setting when it loses power and power is re-applied.

The light itself has spring clips for it to fit into an included well. I think this is so you can coil the wire behind it, making replacement easy. Given the large hours that LEDs work I'm not sure this is really necessary, but it is nice attention to detail. Some lights have a little hood on one side so you can't see the light, only what it is lighting. I'm not sure I like those hoods, but if that is important to you this light is missing that feature.

One of my pet peeves is low voltage lighting that doesn't meet its rated power output. This light is supposed to be 3 watts. I measure 0.21 amps at 12 volts, giving 2.5 watts. That's a match for me.

This is clearly a 5 star item. I'm only sorry I didn't get a larger pack.

I’m really pleased with these outdoor in-ground lights — they feel well built and the stainless steel housings don’t feel cheap at all. The compact size is one of the best features — they sit low so they don’t look obtrusive in the yard like some bulkier fixtures can. That makes them especially nice around flower beds and garden edges.

The real standout is the color versatility. With warm white plus multiple RGB options controlled by the included remote, these lights can go from subtle accent lighting to bold color effects for parties or holidays. They also remember the last setting, so you don’t have to reprogram them each night.

I plan to use mine to shine light on some rose bushes — the low profile keeps the focus on the plants, and once lit up at dusk they give just the right amount of glow. They’re rated for outdoor use, so rain and damp won’t be an issue.

A couple of installation notes: you’ll need a 12 V transformer and landscape wiring (not included), and a little planning on placement pays off so you get the look you want. But overall, these are a versatile, attractive way to brighten up yards, pathways, patios, or gardens without bulky hardware.
